Voatsiperiphery, or wild Madagascar pepper, is as hot as regular pepper, but many times more aromatic.

Voatsiperiphery pepper (Piper borbonese) is a special type of pepper that grows in the jungles of Madagascar, which is why it is also called jungle pepper. Grows in trees up to 20m high.

To preserve pepper essential oils, it is recommended to soak or grind them before use.

Use with grilled red meat, duck, crustaceans and fatty fish. Pepper pairs well with red garden berries, wild berries, and chocolate desserts that are high in dark chocolate or cocoa. Use with baked apples and pears, apple and lingonberry jams.
