The Ethiopian province of Kaffa is the birthplace of coffee. From its fertile mountain forests, coffee has gradually spread throughout the world. The best quality coffee can be obtained in Saidamo and Jirgacheffe districts in the south-west of the country. The ripe red coffee cherries are still harvested by hand there today at an altitude of 2000m from wild coffee trees or in small plantations.
Coffee is grown without chemicals , using manure as fertilizer. The Arabica beans used in the production of Dallmayr Ethiopian Crown come from renewable plantations and are UTZ certified.
Coffee connoisseurs especially appreciate the soft, sophisticated brewed mood of Dallmayr Ethiopian Crown coffee, as well as the special aroma and full taste with balanced acidity.
Coffee ideal for pour-over and filter coffee machines. 6 - 8g of coffee per cup is recommended, maximum cooking time - 8 minutes. It is recommended to make coffee in 92 - 95°C hot water.
